The VPN can be used to connect from home or a remote location to access applications, websites, files, etc. that are only available when on the Johns Hopkins campus. The VPN is not needed to access your Exchange Email, Virtual Desktop, SharePoint, or Lync. Everything works fine, but if I leave my VPN running for an extended period of time, especially overnight, I'll come back to find the VPN has turned itself off. The TP client app is still running, but the VPN is switched off and I'm back to my original IP address.
